Gone Fishing…

// October 20th, 2009 // No Comments » // life

I’ve been in Charleston since last week working with my favorite Charleston Real Estate company… Daniel Island.  When I come to Charleston I love to go to the beach and get out on the water.  Today, I got on the water.

Renee and I took our first charter fishing trip and had a blast.  We spent a good 4 hours fishing with Captain Geoff Bennett with Charleston Charter Fishing and he was awesome!  He taught us some new fishing techniques and guided us around the creeks and waters of Folly Beach. We caught 1 flounder, 5 redfish, 2 whiting and 1 trout.  A pretty good day for two people who have only ever fished for catfish!

This post is for Capt. Geoff!  If you get the chance to go inshore fishing in Charleston, call him!  He’s great for beginners and hardcore fly fisherman as well.  Thanks Geoff!

Notice I only shared one photo with a fish.  Renee’s monster flounder… the rest weren’t regulation and got thrown back.

Camping With The New Camper & Kids

// May 21st, 2009 // 2 Comments » // life

I don’t have a ton of personal posts but figured I should share more on the “personal” side so you people “know” who I am. I was having lunch with Brody Harper and we were talking about the fact that people want to know “who you are”. When I started this blog, I had a lot of personal stuff on here and then ventured away. No specific reason why– just kind of happened.

So, without any more explanation… Here’s the Camping post!

Renee and I got a pop-up camper last fall and have been waiting for an opportunity to use it. Last weekend we took a trip to Moncks Corner, SC and spent a long weekend on the lake in our pop-up. We fished a lot… I caught one nice size catfish… Renee, on the other hand, caught two. Not just two, but two that were big enough to feed 7 people! Yes, we caught them and cooked them within 2 hours. Mmm.. good. Emma and Emerson were awesome and I’m glad they love being outside as much as I do.

OK, really, no more words. Here are pics…
