What Is Up With You?

So, I’ve gotten a few questions and funny looks from the blog world, facebook, twitter and email in general wanting to know where I am at and what am I doing.

Here goes:

1. Are you in Nashville or SC? Renee and I have moved to Charleston, SC. Why??? Our family is here and we had a good opportunity that would let Renee stay at home with Emma and the new baby coming. They also have this cool thing called the ocean, a huge body of water. Fun!!!

2. What about the music business? I had to quit that because they don’t have music here in Charleston. I’m joking. This cool thing called the internet made it easy to run a digital label anywhere… so why not near the beach? The music business is actually kicking and going well. We are re-branding the label currently so it will be totally geared to online marketing and distribution 2.0 style. Will keep you guys posted on that.

3. Am I still writing or recording? Yes, and having more fun doing it. It’s not a requirement to eat anymore so it’s not a job. (watch tv on any of the major networks and you’ll probably hear something I did).

4. Did you take a real job? First off, I’ve always had a real job– I think– but yes, I’m doing interactive marketing here in Charleston. Yes, working for the man after 13 years- BIG transition but I’m really digging it. The foundation of building a completely digital label taught me a lot about the internet and how to push the limits of marketing with it. It has translated well and has opened many doors to interactive/internet consulting and project management .

5. How’s Emma? She’s great! Baby boy is due July 21st.
